court order on reservation

I am of strong opinion that reservation based on caste can never provide any solution to backwardness of OBC. During last 60 years of freedom SC/St could not come in the mainstream of the society even though our constitution provided reservation for them.Backwardness of political leaders should be first dealt with. Because it is they on whose shoulders fate of Indians depend. Unfortunately our leaders are more often than not ,and mostly backward, uneducated,unexperienced,unsocial,immoral and greedy. They win the election only because they can speak well, they can make loud promises, they are shrewd enough to befool poor voters and they are tactful to exploit innocence of innocent voters. Illiteracy of voters is the root cause of innocence of voters to a great extent. Voters due to their backwardness lead a fearful and pathetic life and hence believe mostly on their political leaders who make loud promises. They believe on their own caste or own family members preferably for their upliftment. They believe on their own man but unluckily always deceived by their own men and therefore their lives have not changed.Government provide so many economic help in the form of so many subsidies as also loans under various sponsored schemes, free education, free legal help, free consultancy, free home under Indira Awas scheme and so on .Still real benefits seldom reach to real needy people. Similarly all types of reservation could never help them come out of clutches of poverty and backwardness. It is true that political leaders win the election and accumulate huge wealth in the name of welfare of poor people. This is why wealth of leaders and administrative officers are growing day by day by leaps and bound whereas poverty of rural people continues to be what it was 60 years ago , rather there is further deterioration year by year.At the time of formation of our Constitution , the makers of the Constitution realized and identified certain caste groups enumerated as SC/ST and thought it fit to provide them special social security umbrella for TEN years. Our leaders continued to provide them such security for 60 years but could not achieve the goal. Number of backward caste has increased and come forward in the shape of OBC.There is more and more demand for inclusion of their caste in OBC so that they may get some alms from from their leaders. Unfortunately fund meant for their welfare in consumed by middlemen, leaders and officers. Poor becoming poorer and rich becoming richer.It is therefore crystal clear that until there is a will in the core of the heart of the politicians and executing officers for welfare of poor class of the society there is no way to eradicate poverty from our country.Lastly poverty and backwardness can be eliminated or reduced only by giving respect to merit and talent of the student and workers. Any policy based on the caste will further divide the society, create bitterness and hatred ness among the people, disturb social harmony and ultimately ask for more and more police force to maintain social security and law and order in the society. Real remedy lies in providing poor people better and better education and makes them capable of earning for them and living a respectable life. More and more industries will create more and job opportunities and poor will find job or engage themselves in small businesses to earn their livelihood. Honesty in judicial system will provide them real justice and they will be able to capture and ensure punishment to those leaders who cheat them. It is sad that that there is nowhere honesty, neither in administration nor in judiciary and nor in class of political leaders.Lastly I like to add here that when there is no job opportunity available in government offices what benefit reservation will provide to OBC.So far as education is concerned government should spend on opening more and more schools, colleges, technical institutes which can serve poor people and provide best education to them, free if possible without any discrimination based on caste. Poverty should be the main criteria for privileged treatment, NEVER CASTE. It is bitter truth that none of government school is fit for education. Schools and colleges run by government are running on ventilators. I laugh when political leader like Arjun Singh talk of reservation in IIMs and IITs. Why not he suggests government to spend heavily on Education and bring about reformation in the status of the existing institutes. I lastly appreciate the interim order given by Supreme court and hope our leaders like Arjun Singh will resign and pave the way for others to come forward and respect the spirit of the court order.
